"We can," Cameron said. "If I say we can, then we can."
Cassandra let out a cold laugh. "But I don't want to."
The warmth and tenderness in Cameron's gaze instantly vanished after hearing those words. They turned icy and dark. "Cassie, don't push me."
She ignored him and asked, "Where's Daisy?"
"In the guest room next door."
Cassandra immediately moved to go over, but he jumped up and shut the main bedroom door before she could leave.
She looked at him. "What now?"
"Cassie, I'll ask you one last time—are you coming back with me or not?"
"You already know the answer. Why bother asking?"
Cameron let out a cold laugh. "Fine. In that case…"
He pulled open the door. "You want to see your dear friend so badly? I won't stop you anymore."
Why was he suddenly being so generous? Cassandra felt suspicious. But her worry for Daisy overwhelmed everything else. She dashed out the door and rushed into the guest room. She gasped at the sight in front of her.
