Aura let out an exhale and said, “Actually, the antidote isn’t with me. I need my sister…my friend, to send it over.” She lowered her head to glance at the time and calculated before adding, “It’ll need about three days.”
With that, she snaked her arm around Joshua’s and fixated her wide eyes on him. “Even though the antidote will only be here in three days, I have some medication that can help ease Granny’s symptoms. Should we bring it to the hospital for her?”
Joshua went silent for a moment, then smiled and patted Aura on the head. “Sure.”
