The door burst open like someone had forced their way in, and my mate rushed in, her face flushed red from running and her eyes were filled with panic. She looked between me and Dr. Martinez, taking in our serious expressions and the papers scattered across the desk.
"Is Ollie okay?" she asked breathlessly as she held her laps to gain back her breath as she went on speaking.
"I got a call saying there was an accident, that he was hurt—"
"Ollie is fine," Dr. Martinez said quickly, gathering up the lab reports and sliding them back into the file, hiding it from her view.
"He has some minor injuries, but nothing serious that you need to be beside yourself with worry about. He's going to be perfectly fine."
I watched as Lumina's shoulder sagged, her face filled with relief as the fear left her body. She hadn't even acknowledged the fact that I was here as well.
