Seeing Richard storm out of the house, Vera rushed into the room, only to find Lillian furiously throwing things around.
“Mom, what happened?” she asked anxiously. “Didn’t that whole mess get sorted already?”
“Sorted?” Lillian’s eyes burned red, her voice filled with venom. “Your father said he’s giving that five percent of shares under your name to that little witch Cassandra—as some kind of ‘compensation’! That’s his idea of settling it!”
