Early in the morning, Cassandra woke up, but she didn’t say a word. Maybe because it was the weekend, not long after breakfast, Damien showed up at the hospital room with Max in tow. Damien was dressed sharp as ever—tailored suit, not a single wrinkle in sight, making him look even more striking and every bit as intimidating. Max quietly grabbed a chair and put it across from Cassandra. Once Damien sat down, composed and elegant as always, Max glanced at Richard and said calmly, “Mr. Taylor, my boss would like a few moments alone with Miss Taylor to monitor her condition and report back to her doctor.” Richard didn’t hesitate. He figured Damien was helping his daughter recover—probably even hired some top-tier physician—and he truly appreciated that kind of support. So, he got up and stepped out without a fuss. After he left, Max also backed out and gently pulled the door shut behind him, taking position outside the room. “Mr. Taylor,” Max spoke up suddenly, “my boss has already found
