After returning home and freshening up, Hazel walked into her room and found Helen sprawled across the bed, dainty feet kicking in the air as she furiously tapped at her phone screen.
"Go! Go! Arthur, you idiot, charge already! What kind of tank hides behind a mage like me? Ugh—" Her frustrated shouts filled the room, her fingers stabbing the screen so aggressively that Hazel half-expected the glass to shatter.
"Defeat."
The game's robotic voice announced her loss as the sound of a crystal shattering echoed from the phone.
Helen groaned dramatically, tossing her phone aside before flopping onto her back like a stranded fish. "Hazel, am I cursed or something? Even in games, I get the worst luck! The marksman hid behind me, and the tank—Arthur—refused to frontline! If they’re that scared of dying, why even play?"
Watching her fume, Hazel picked up her own phone. "I’ll play a round with you."
Helen's eyes lit up. She immediately sat up cross-legged. "Wait, you know how to play?"
