Chapter 216
Finn Armstrong and Leon Sterling were already pretty tipsy, and after Gabriel Wallace and Lilah Hart took their seats, they had a few more drinks.
Kai Johnson’s phone buzzed first. He lifted it with a grin. “I’ve had enough for today. I’m heading out.”
“What is it, your assistant calling?” Finn asked, half-joking.
Kai didn’t explain, just turned to Gabriel. “You guys carry on. I’ll leave now.”
“Alright.” Gabriel nodded.
Then Finn stood up too. “Yeah, I’m about done as well. Any more and I won’t make it home.”
He looked over at Leon. “You good? Not heading out?”
“This place’s not short on guest rooms. Why wouldn’t I stay?”
Seems Leon was really planning to crash here. And the reason? Well, everyone seemed to get the hint without saying it out loud.
Once Finn and Kai left, Gabriel immediately had the staff sort out a room for Leon.
That was the end of the gathering.
The moon hung bright in the sky, and the breeze had a gentle chill.
