Chapter 383
When they arrived at the door of the ward, Connor whispered to Travis, "Let's go first."
Travis nodded and watched him leave with Carlin in his arms. He didn't think much about it.
The small hand which he held suddenly broke free from his palm.
Sophie looked a little embarrassed and took two steps back. She didn't look at him, but said in a low voice urgently, "I'll go back first."
Travis followed her happily and said, "Let's go. I'll send you off."
"No." Sophie turned around and looked at him warily. "I can go by myself. You can take care of my cousin."
"There's a doctor on duty tonight. There's no need for me to waste my time here. You don't have to be so polite to me." He said naturally and walked out with her.
It wasn't that he didn't know about Sophie's condition.
He just didn't want her to leave alone. If something happened on the road, he would be guilty.
Seeing Sophie's awkward look, Travis couldn't help laughing and said, "What's wrong with you? You used to have a good relationship with me. Why are you so twisted every time you see me recently? Am I going to eat you?"
Sophie frowned. "No... nothing. Let's go."
It was true in the past. After that, she could not come too close to him, because...
When Aidan woke up, he found that Eliana was sleeping on the sofa.
A sense of joy surged out of his heart instantly. Gazing at Eliana's quiet sleeping face, he was felt very much awake.
He needed to cherish this rare time.
After all, Ellie would not allow him to watch her quietly when she woke up.
When dawn broke, Eliana woke up from her sleep. Aidan hurriedly closed his eyes.
She saw that she was alone in the ward aside from the slumbering Aidan.
She was stunned for a moment. She remembered that Carlin had been uneasy when they came to the ward that night. She whispered in her ear, afraid that she would get killed.
She asked Carlin to sleep for a while. Carlin said that she was a little sleepless and couldn't fall asleep. So she simply took a fragrant chip.
Although the effect was not as strong as the sleeping incense for Sophie, it was also...
After a fragrant piece of incense was burned, Carlin fell into a deep sleep.
She thought that she had been squinting for a while, but she didn't expect that it would be dawn when she woke up.
But... what about Carlin?
Aidan was sent to the ward, but she didn't hear anything at all. Did Carlin hear it?
But it was not right. If Carlin wanted to leave, how could she not call her?
Eliana glared coldly at Aidan on the bed, and then got up and left quickly.
She asked the nurse who was on duty last night and found out what had happened.
When she learned that she had slept alone with Aidan under the same roof for an entire night, she shivered.
She quickly went downstairs and went home to take a bath.
After she left, Aidan slowly opened his eyes and smirked.
This night belonged to him and Ellie.
It was his happiest night since his rebirth...
After daybreak, the sun shone through the bright windows and hit the big soft bed in the room.
Carlin, who was sleeping soundly on the bed, turned over and put the quilt over her body.
She didn't open her eyes, but she was already a little awake.
With a sensitive nose, she took a deep breath and found that there was something wrong with the smell of the quilt.
She suddenly opened her eyes and looked around the room.
The first thought that came to her mind was that this was not her home.
"What's going on?"
Wasn't she sleeping in the hospital with Ellie?
Her coat was gone. At that moment, she only wore a sling skirt that she had worn the previous day.
The hemline was moved to her waist because she didn't have a very elegant sleeping posture.
What was even more frightening was that there were two pillows and two quilts on the bed...
Carlin thought of something strange and jumped out of bed.
At that moment, the door of the bathroom opened, and Connor came out from inside...
