Oliver watched the remorse on Olivia's face with something akin to admiration. Satisfaction bloomed in his chest as he thought, "Trying to fight me? You're still too green!" Seeing that Olivia couldn't find her words, Oliver magnanimously let her off. His expression softened into a smile. "Relax. I was just joking with you. There's another round tonight. Go back and spend some proper time with Jasper." Olivia's ears rang. Oliver's mouth moved, opening and closing, but his words reached her only as a distorted echo. She heard every word, yet none of them truly registered. Looking at Olivia's dazed expression, Oliver's already thin patience was nearly gone. He lifted his foot, ready to wake her up with brute force. Then he looked up and saw Jasper approaching. Oliver halted abruptly, but the sudden stop was too forceful. The leg still supporting him couldn't bear his weight, and he pitched forward, about to fall over. In his panic, Oliver instinctively reached out and grabbed for
