Emilia's eyes lit up as she looked at Jasper. "Dad, can I go?"
"Sure," Jasper replied.
Sage pressed her lips together briefly, then turned with a smile. "You have to behave, then."
Emilia nodded earnestly. "Of course I will."
As they were about to leave, Charlotte was still lingering, showing no sign of leaving.
Sage scoffed inwardly. "Still not leaving, Charlotte?"
Charlotte smiled knowingly, picked up a cup from the table, and clinked it against Jasper's. "Jasper, my friend is next door. I'll be off now."
Saying that, she took a sip, turned, and looked at Sage standing by the door. She gave Sage's shoulder a light pat and said, "Don't project your standards onto others, Sage."
She was clearly mocking Sage.
But Sage tilted her head in confusion and watched as Charlotte entered another private room. She then took Emilia out.
Emilia didn't understand and asked, "Auntie, what did she mean?"
