The quiet room was still.
A thin, sickly-looking man sat in a wheelchair, gently tapping the armrest with his index finger.
His eyes were fixed on the wall ahead, cold and piercing.
Embedded in the wall was a massive surveillance screen—and the person on camera, standing right outside the abandoned factory in the East Suburbs, was none other than Vivian.
Richard Grant was currently recounting to Vivian how that mysterious man once approached him.
“Sir, Richard Grant turned on you. Should I take him out?”
The man standing next to the wheelchair asked quietly.
“He’s pitiful, in a way. If he hadn’t betrayed me, how would he have kept his daughter and his little kingdom safe? Let it go,” the man said with a faint smile.
But his eyes were devoid of warmth—icy, emotionless.
“Yes, sir.”
The man kept watching the screen.
Only after Vivian drove off, and Richard also left with his men, did he finally turn the wheelchair toward the window.
Looking out over the skyline, he narrowed his cold eyes
