Chapter 221
Barbara Smith let out a quiet sigh—well, at least there was this little bit of comfort.
On the other side, Nancy was surrounded by a curious crowd, but thankfully, Andrew came to her rescue and led her away.
When Nancy got back, she couldn't wait to spill all the tea to Clara and the others about everything that had just happened at school.
Since then, she's basically been glued to her phone, chatting non-stop with the other parents.
Clara could tell Nancy had finally found her own circle.
They used to worry she'd feel out of place after moving into the city.
Living in Northvale, she mainly hung out with Simon's mom, and her days were all about tending the garden. Didn't really have any close friends.
But that parent meeting? Total gamechanger. Nancy clicked with some of the folks and started making friends.
She even started going out now and then—grabbing some tea or just catching up.
