Sarah Knight had been having a rough few days at the police station. Every day, like clockwork, the officers would drag her into the interrogation room for questioning.
The place made her skin crawl, but she didn’t have a choice—she had to tough it out. The worst part? The way the cops looked at her like she was already guilty.

“We work based on evidence. If you didn’t kill her, how do you explain your fingerprints on the fruit knife?” one officer grilled her, flipping through his notes, face hard and cold.
