Chapter 109
When Delia snapped awake again, it was already 3 a.m. Beside her, Curtis was lying on his side, propping his head up with one hand, just watching her-soft smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Her eyes slowly adjusted, shifting from drowsy to wide awake. She stared back at him, thoughts racing with everything that had happened tonight.
Her heart raced, she'd been a wreck, flooded with feelings she couldn't even put into words. But one thing was crystal clear-this life felt right, felt perfect.
She'd really fallen for him. Even though he was the silent type, slow to warm up, all his gentleness, every bit of his patience, had been hers alone.
If she could ask for anything in this life, it would just be to stay by his side, peacefully, forever.
Curtis couldn't help but smile seeing her still blushing, looking all happy and content. He gently caressed her cheek with his fingers, "So... you get it now?"
"Huh?" Delia blinked, thrown off by that out-of-nowhere question.
Smirking, Curtis
