When Cassandra showed up, she went straight to the front desk to ask if Michael had any appointments-but the receptionist told her he hadn't shown up for days.
"He hasn't been in recently?" Cassandra frowned, her nerves tightening. That couldn't be right-what are the odds?
The receptionist, polite as ever, nodded. "Yes, Mr. Sinclair hasn't come in for almost a week. Would you like to leave a message, Miss Tate?"
Everyone at the front desk knew who Cassandra was. She'd visited a lot not long ago, so they took her seriously.
Cassandra hesitated for a moment, then shook her head. "No, that's alright. But... did he go out of town or something?"
The young woman at the desk gave a professional smile. "I'm afraid that's upper management info. We don't have access to it-and even if we did, we wouldn't be allowed to share it. Hope you understand."
Cassandra sighed.
What was she even thinking?
Asking the front desk stuff like that? She must've been completely out of it.
