The once cool, monochrome palette had vanished without a trace. In its place were rich, warm tones-deep red curtains, cozy bedding in a matching hue, soft lighting that cast a golden glow across the room.
It was no longer the sleek, impersonal space he was used to. It felt... lived in. Intimate. Like someone had taken the time to make it a home.
His home.
He turned his head toward Delia, who was standing just behind him with a smug, expectant smile.
"You redecorated," he said, voice low.
She beamed. "Obviously. Gray was depressing. I wanted something warmer-something more us."
Curtis's lips twitched, and despite himself, a rare softness spread across his face.
He looked around again, then back at her.
"For a second, I thought I'd come to the wrong room."
Delia laughed, stepping forward to grab his hand. "Nope. Right room, right man, right bed."
There were also a bunch of wedding photos on the walls, but all of them were clearly photoshopped.
