Delia collapsed right there on the carpet, her eyes brimming with tears. When Curtis came in and saw her like that, his heart just sank.
He rushed over in his wheelchair.
Delia glanced up at the sound, her eyes lighting up just as Curtis pulled her into his arms without a word, hugging her tightly.
Curtis's eyes darkened a bit as he sighed, voice low and gentle above her head. "I'm sorry."
He knew he'd put her in a tough spot.
Honestly, he was well aware Wyatt had done more than enough. Since Wyatt had been by Delia's side, he never crossed any lines-always professional, always respectful.
