The agent's smile stiffened. He clearly did not expect her to be so decisive.
He hurried forward and blocked the doorway. "Hey, don't rush off."
His eyes roamed over her without restraint, heavy with implication. "The price is always negotiable. Or we can . . . negotiate another way."
He reached out, trying to grab Annie's wrist.
Annie's stomach turned. She jumped back, dodging his filthy hand. Disgust flashed across her eyes. "Move."

The flimsy metal door was kicked in from the outside. It crashed to the ground and sent dust billowing through the air.
