"What's wrong?" Mrs. Soren looked at her, confused. Celeste frowned slightly, mulling it over. "Don't you think it's a bit suspicious? A guy was supposed to get engaged to a woman, then suddenly something tragic happens to her entire family right before the engagement. Not long after, he marries someone else and just so happens to inherit his ex-fiancée's family fortune. Doesn't that feel... off?" Mrs. Soren's expression froze for a moment, her eyes darkening. "Mrs. Soren," Celeste called her back softly. "Yeah?" "I mean, I was just saying. Don't think too much about it. What I meant was, the model on the cover of that magazine you showed me earlier... She just doesn't fit. The whole vibe is just wrong." Celeste smoothly changed the topic, trying to lighten the mood.
