Chapter 487
Even after spending some time together, Isabella Goodwin still couldn't shake off the feeling that there was a wall between her and her daughter. Little Orange seemed more scared of her than close to her—like all that obedience and sensibility were just forced.
She had brought it up with Dylan Han before, but he had waved it off, saying it was just because she'd been unconscious too long and the kid hadn’t seen her in ages. A little strangeness was normal.
Still, Isabella put in real effort to try closing that gap.
Dylan got a call and stepped out for a bit, leaving just the two of them in the hospital room.
She strolled over and sat by the bed, gently reaching for Little Orange’s hand. Her voice softened, “Are you feeling okay, hon? Anything hurt?”
The little girl looked a bit stiff, shook her head silently.
"Want something to eat?” Isabella’s mind sparked with an idea. Her eyes lit up. “How about some canned oranges? They’re super sweet, really good.”
Little Orange blinked, surprised
