Chapter 35
Eleanor’s POV
Scarlett had been sleeping like a rock.
At first, it was the fever that knocked her out cold, and once that finally broke, her body plunged into a deep recovery sleep.
Two whole days passed where she barely stirred, just waking long enough to sip water or shuffle to the bathroom before crashing again.
Initially, I was worried sick. I must’ve called Dr. Jones half a dozen times, pestering him for updates.
He kept reassuring me that she was recovering well.
Eventually, when I started seeing more color in Scarlett’s cheeks—even in her sleep—I finally relaxed a little.
During that time, Robert called. The set paperwork had gone through, and the crew had already started building. He wanted Scarlett, as the original author, to visit and give feedback.
But when he found out she was sick and hospitalized, he got all panicky, wanting to visit her. It took some fast talking from me to calm him down.
He didn’t end up coming, but still made sure to call every single day to check on h
