Chapter 59
Flora’s POV:
Amelia looked up slowly. Her delicate face—usually flawless, sweet, camera-ready—was a mess. Makeup smudged. Lips pale beneath a thin coat of light-pink lipstick. Her eyeliner had run, and her eyes were still red. She couldn’t focus on anyone. Her gaze kept darting, avoiding eye contact like it burned.
She didn’t want to be here. She didn’t want to apologize.
But earlier in the car, I had laid it all out for her—no sugarcoating. If she walked out now, the production team would probably announce tomorrow that she was officially out… for clashing with the crew.
Amelia couldn’t afford to lose this role. Not this one.
To her, this was the last opportunity Everett had handed her.
If she blew even this, she had no idea how she was supposed to survive in this industry.
When she stayed silent for too long, I gave her hand a sharp squeeze.
She flinched slightly at the pain, frowned, drew a deep breath, then lowered her head. Eyes shut, shoulders stiff. Her voice was hoarse and low.
