Chapter 90
Eleanor’s POV:
James and Harvey weren’t coming back for dinner tonight. They still had scenes to film—probably pulling another all-nighter.
I poured the leftover milk down the sink, then opened the fridge to check what ingredients were left. To my surprise, it was suddenly well-stocked. There was fish, meat, and even Scarlett’s favorite cherry tomatoes.
“That’s weird. Who dropped all these off?” I mumbled to myself, then froze as realization dawned.
Who else could it be but Everett Robinson?
That guy is odd. He doesn’t even know Scarlett’s allergic to pollen, but somehow remembers her love for Australian cherry tomatoes.
I took out the tomatoes and a few other ingredients, planning to whip up some hot and sour soup. Scarlett’s pregnancy nausea had been hitting her hard lately—maybe the sourness would help.
Soon, the sound of cooking filled the kitchen while the living room stayed quiet. Scarlett was still out cold on the couch.
