Chapter 6
Ethan’s POV
Tom backed down obediently, but I couldn't help but click on Gabrielle's home page on Twitter.
Her posts on Twitter were all about how we lived together. They were so close to me and so strange to me.
I read it unconsciously and suddenly felt that the three-year marriage was not blank. This woman had already unknowingly integrated into my life. Every line of text she posted on her secondary account mainly included me.
But I felt that I didn't know her at all, and I had never participated in her happiness.
At eight o'clock in the morning, she posted an emotionless statement on Twitter, which officially marked the end of this marriage. All of a sudden, I felt as if a piece of my chest was missing. It was empty.
Originally, I wanted to continue reading, but the page suddenly stopped moving. When I refreshed it again, I suddenly found that all the movements I had just seen were gone, leaving only a cold statement on the home page of the account.
She deleted it just like that? Pretend that nothing had happened in the past three years?
My chest felt heavy, and my heart felt like it had been squeezed hard. Then I heard a voice from Tom, "Luna doesn't seem to be in New York."
"Then keep looking. If you can't find it in New York, go to Los Angeles! Can't find it in Los Angeles! Just go to Miami!" I gritted my teeth and replied.
"Anyway, do whatever it takes to find her!"
Gabrielle had been missing for a month. She had completely disappeared.
Did she go abroad to avoid me? Every time I thought of her, I felt indescribably annoyed.
There was going to be a grand charity dinner tonight in Manhattan. I attended the meeting grandly with Kelly.
This dinner party was not open to the public. The guests were either rich or noble. The most powerful Pack in the United States, including all Alpha and Luna would all attend. Of course, in the eyes of humans, this was just an ordinary banquet for the rich and powerful.
I don't want to take Kelly with me. I haven't seen her since I learned that she had played dirty tricks.
But Kelly's uncle also had an invitation to the party. She pestered to be my female companion, so I had to agree.
"Welcome, Alpha Conner" After getting out of the car, the organizer came over and shook hands with me enthusiastically.
Suddenly, there was a commotion at the door.
"Here comes Maddox" Someone said.
Of course, I knew Maddox. He was the eldest son of Lycan King, and also a well-known Wall Street tycoon. He walked out of the luxurious custom-made Rolls-Royce, and the people around him were waiting to shake hands with him.
However, after getting out of the car, Maddox did not leave immediately. Instead, he went to the side of the car, opened the right door, and stretched out his hand modestly.
Kelly asked curiously, "Who is the female companion that Maddox brought today? Hasn't he never been close to women?"
"Gabrielle-" Someone shouted the name. Stunned, I fixed my eyes on it.
The person who got out of the car was wearing a custom-made European royal dress, which was inlaid with diamonds and looked gorgeous.
"How could it be her?" Kelly could not help exclaiming.
My face immediately darkened. I narrowed my eyes and watched as the woman wrapped her arm around Maddox's intimately and walked towards me with a smile.
How could it be her? My ex-wife, Gabrielle Fisher!
Maddox looked into my eyes and took the initiative to walk over. He stretched out his hand and said, "I've heard a lot about you, Alpha Conner."
I naturally held her hand. "You're welcome, Alpha Fisher."
When we shook hands, my eyes were fixed on Gabrielle. She stood beside Maddox with a bright smile, as if she had completely changed into another person, making it impossible for me to look away.
Gabrielle, who was shining in front of her, was strange and dangerous, but with a fatal attraction. I thought in a complicated mood, "Did she disappear when she went to see Maddox?" "What's the relationship between her and Maddox?"
At this moment, my mood became a little strange. It seemed that a storm was brewing in my heart unconsciously. Even I didn't know what was going on.
At this time, my wolf Max suddenly shouted in an excited and uneasy tone, "Mate!"
