Chapter Twenty-Six
The doctor’s news wasn’t something Leslie or anyone had expected. The surgery was said to be a simple one. A non-invasive surgery to surgically remove the stones on her kidney since they hadn't grown too large.
However, the doctor came back with very insane numbers that made no sense. “We ran a series of tests on your wife, Mr Shaw,” the doctor said, “and we found that she has an aneurysm in her aorta, which might rupture during the surgery due to increased blood pressure.”
Mr Shaw frowned, his shoulder slumping. “Is that dangerous?”
The doctor nodded. “Very. If the aneurysm ruptures, it might cause a series of complications, but that’s not all we are worried about during the procedure.”
Leslie stepped in. Hearing that her mother’s condition had gone beyond just stones in her kidney made her worry a little. “What else is the problem?”
