"Yeah." Summer nodded, then hesitated a little before advising me, "He seems to still care about you. He still hasn't married Lena Carter. Do you think he's waiting for you? I mean... maybe there's been a misunderstanding? Are you really not thinking of meeting him?"
"He’s dragging out the wedding because he’s under a lot of pressure—from the company, from the Smith family. He’s not the type to go soft over romance. It’s got nothing to do with me." I let out a cold laugh, pulled a cigarette from the pack, lit it up. "But I'm not gonna keep hiding forever. Sooner or later, I’ll face him. It's inevitable."
“You’re really going right against them so soon. Aren’t you scared?” Summer asked, a bit anxious.
"Scared?" I raised an eyebrow with a smirk. "After coming back from the dead, what’s left to be afraid of?"
"Well, then I hope you get what you want, and stomp all those who messed with you. Go get 'em!" Summer encouraged me with real gusto.
"I will." With that, I hung up.
