The ride back to Gates Manor was silent.
As soon as the car stopped, Nancy stepped out first without a glance behind her and headed straight inside. Sebastian followed at his usual unhurried pace.
The moment she stepped inside, she wrenched her wrist free from his weak grip, her movement radiating unmistakable rejection.
She said sternly, "My business doesn't concern you."
Her cold tone only deepened the faint curve at his lips, though the smile never touched his eyes.
Joseph sure knew how to pick people. He actually chose a divorced woman and planted her at Sebastian's side.

Sebastian took a long stride, and in just a few steps, he was standing right in front of her. His towering presence loomed over her, radiating an almost tangible pressure.
