Chapter 248 The Engagement
Nancy and Sebastian returned to Eryndor three days later.
The plane landed in the early hours of the morning. Nancy pulled her trench coat tighter around herself as she walked out of the VIP terminal and looked at the man beside her.
Even the comfort of first class couldn't spare him after a 12-hour flight. Sebastian looked fine, but there was a trace of fatigue hidden in his eyes.
"Let's go back to Gates Manor and rest," Nancy said.
Sebastian didn't answer. Instead, he stopped walking. He turned to her with a mischievous glint in his dark eyes. A playful smile tugged at his lips.
"Did you forget what today is, Nancy?" he asked.
She frowned slightly.
What day was it?
Her mind had been consumed by the Sullivan family restructuring and the bid for Lot 178 for days. She had no room left to remember any special dates.
She racked her brain and ran through everything from financial reporting deadlines to random anniversaries, but came up empty.
