Chapter 88 An Attitude
The next morning, Nancy was woken by sunlight streaming in through the window.
She rubbed her temples as she opened her eyes. Everything that had happened last night was still fresh in her mind.
Sebastian was downright insane.
Agitated, she shoved the blanket aside and got out of bed.
Stepping out of the master bedroom, she had barely reached the stairs when a housekeeper polishing the banister caught sight of her. The housekeeper startled, her hand jerking so badly that the rag almost slipped free.
She greeted Nancy politely. "Good morning, Ms. Sullivan."
The housekeeper kept her head low.
Nancy stopped short, gave the housekeeper a flat look, and said nothing in response. Then, she kept walking.
From the second floor down to the dining room, she'd taken barely a dozen steps. But every housekeeper she walked past gave her respectful nods and greeted her respectfully.
"Good morning, Ms. Sullivan," they'd all said.
