Chapter 10
Extra: Ethan's POV
The truth was, I recognized Kendall the moment I saw her in that shoe store.
I was furious. After the way she had so heartlessly walked out on me, how had she ended up like that?
So, I leaned into my date and acted affectionate on purpose. Even when I paid with my card, I didn't let a single emotion slip. I just wanted to see how long Kendall could keep pretending.
After that, I went back to the store and asked one of her coworkers for her contact information. That was when I found out she wasn't just selling shoes; she was also running deliveries on the side.
Then, I made another move. I ordered flowers and made Kendall read the note aloud in front of everyone. I wanted her to feel what betrayal was like.
At Tiffany's birthday party, I knew Kendall hadn't stolen any earrings. I had been waiting for her to ask me for help.
If she had begged me, I would have forgiven her on the spot. I would have taken her back without a second thought.
But she snapped.
