Daniel's Point-of-View
When I watched Miranda marry another man, I drank a lot.
I thought that would numb me and help me accept the fact that she no longer belonged to me.
But when I saw her standing there, saying her vows to him, I couldn't stop myself from shouting, "Miranda, don't say yes to him! Turn around and look at me!"
Before I could finish, her fiancé's men covered my mouth and threw me out.
No, perhaps I should say her husband's men.
I stumbled to my feet, the alcohol blurring my vision. Still, I staggered toward the sound of the wedding music.
There was no way the Griffin family would ever let me back inside, so I could only walk around the castle and sit against the wall.
As I listened to the cheerful noise from within, I found myself remembering everything that had ever happened between Miranda and me.
