Chapter 125
Emiliano's pov
It all smelt of blood and bleach.
Hospitals were something I detested. Had always. I detested them even more now, though, as I lay flat on this hard bed with my chest tightly bandaged and my arm full of tubes.
It felt as if the walls were closing in around me. I winced when the machine next to me beeped. I was still trapped, but I was conscious and breathing.
It had been hours since the door guard had moved. He appeared disinterested. He seemed uninterested, as if he was simply incapable of thinking. He hardly looked at me anymore. Perhaps he believed me to be innocuous.
