CATALINA'S POV
It was a colder night than usual. I watched through the broken window, but I couldn't see anything. Like a sharp knife, guilt twisted in my chest. I would rather not betray Camila, but there was nothing else I could do to protect her.
I reflected on the promises I had given myself, the lies I would tell, and the shadows I would hide. Every time I kept secrets, chains encircled my heart.
