I practically jumped on Olivia's body as I walked into the house, meeting her there. She wrapped her hands around me tightly, as she tried to hold the weight of the both of us.
“You look like you really needed that hug,” she whispered as the hug ended. I tried so hard not to cry. I brought her in for another hug.
“I did,” I sighed, plopping down on the chair, and she sat down beside me. I leaned into her jasmine scent. “What can I do without you?”
She laughed, throwing her head back. “You can never actually get rid of me, Lils.”
“Thank you,” I whispered.
“How are the kids?” Olivia asked.
“They've been okay. They're in that stage where they're curious about their dad.”
She sighed. “If only they know that he's been right in front of them the whole time.”
“He knows now,” I said, and she widened her eyes.
“Has he brought any type of proof?” She asked. I shook my head, thankful.
