I should have known that Lily wasn’t going to waste any time in coming back to look for Lucien. Or maybe she just wanted to get a better peek at my house. At least that was what Olivia kept saying.
“Trust me, I don’t think I will be able to keep my mouth shut for too long. Don’t complain when I try to tell her about how much of a terrible wife she is to begin with,” Olivia said, watching me as I asked the maids to clean up the living room. Trying to impress my sister just to stop her from taking her husband away was the last thing I thought I would be doing.
Trust me, I wasn’t trying to be some kind of obsessive person. I just wanted to make sure that Lucien was well taken care of. Especially because he was in that situation because of me.
