"One more thing," Asher added, his gaze fixed on the pitch‑black river beyond the window.
"Assign those people to companies that have no ties to the Greenes. The positions don't need to be anything significant—just enough to keep them afloat. Make it clear that they're to keep their mouths shut. If they dare bother Juliet again, make sure they disappear from Navalton for good."
"Understood."
Before hanging up, Asher added one last instruction, "Don't let her find out about this."
"Yes, sir."
When the call ended, Asher stayed in the car for a long while.
A chill wind blew through the half-open window, but it did nothing to ease the irritation simmering in his chest.
