Chapter 78
Ted furrowed his brows. "So what? I'm the most important! I want to be discharged."
The bodyguard's expression darkened. He couldn't help but mutter to himself, wondering how a child could be so difficult to communicate with.
"Mr. Wilcher is injured and can't come," the bodyguard reminded Ted.
Ted shot back, "Is it more serious than a car accident?"
The bodyguard was taken aback. He paused before answering, "It's not that serious."
The previous checkup showed only minor injuries. But since they were all over his body, any movement pulled at the wounds, so he still had to stay in bed to recover.
Ted's face was full of displeasure. "My mom was in a car accident and still came to take care of me. Dad's the worst! Mom is better. I'll go find her and have her help me get discharged."
When Ted was four, he had Kawasaki disease and needed to wear a heart monitor. Nydia had stayed up all night taking care of him. Because she hadn't rested, she had been disoriented and was hit by a car.
