Being slung over his shoulder like that, with her stomach pressed against him, she was terrified something might happen to the baby. "Help!" she screamed, her voice cracking as she struggled, trying everything she could to break free. But no matter how hard she kicked or yelled, everyone around just turned a blind eye, pretending not to see or hear a thing. It wasn't long before he hauled her to a car-one she'd never seen before.
