Chapter 118
Remy's POV
I meant what I said to Amanda. I didn't want her to think less of me because of what had happened that day, and I didn't want to take liberties with her.
I didn't need her response. She had the right to accept and think about it again.
Soon, we arrived at Amanda's home. I never knew that she lived here. The only time the driver went to pick her up, I didn't tag along, so when I saw where she lived, I couldn't help but start to size the place up with some scrutiny.
The apartment she lived in was small and in a remote location, presumably because the rent was cheap. This neighborhood was not known to be safe, and there were few people around. Occasionally, I could see a few drunk men walking along the road, singing songs, shoulder to shoulder.
For a beautiful woman living in a place like this, Amanda was bound to be harassed someday.
"It's late. Do you want to go up and have some coffee?" She opened
