Linda's POV I didn't want to be humble every time I went to Remy's parent's place for dinner. Every time I saw his mother, I was like a mouse that encountered a cat. However, I was so guilty. I was terrified that Remy would expose everything I did, so I was always scared whenever I went there for dinner. Remy's mother talked about having a baby again. I knew that with Remy's presence, she wouldn't be so harsh with me. However, if I stayed unpregnant, she would make things very difficult for me. To her, I was a pet, or a vase, and if I failed to satisfy her or didn't do what she wanted, she would keep giving me a hard time. Once again, Remy was nowhere to be found. Ever since Rachel was kicked out of the law firm, I didn't have anyone to help me track Remy down. I lost the chance of bumping into him. If I were to contact him, I needed valid reasons, like going home with him for dinner. Normally, Douglas would just screen out my calls.
