Chapter 169
Amanda's POV
When the weather got better, I moved to a small town by the sea. It was different from the previous town. The seaside town was slightly bigger, and it was warmer. When I moved here, I didn't look for an apartment away from downtown like before. I rented a nice-looking apartment on a very lively street. When I opened the window, I could hear children's laughter from the other side of the street.
I used to hate noise. But now, I had become prone to insomnia without some noise.
My landlady was a good person. She opened a bakery downstairs. On the first day we met, she sent me a basket of warm bread. I rarely accepted others' kindness, but she looked so nice that I didn't want to embarrass her by refusing her kindness.
No one here knew me. I wouldn't stay here for long. I only said that I was here for a trip. The landlady didn't doubt me at all and happily rented the apartment to me.
