Chapter 27
James' POV
My mind was filled with the images of Catherine being intimate with another man.
I was stuck as I hesitated in letting her free from my arms. As soon as I did, I saw the disappointment in her beautiful eyes.
I was sorry. I had no way to ensure what I really wanted and could only watch her run home crying.
When I turned to leave, my legs got weaker and heavy. It was as though I would collapse at any moment.
After I returned home, I couldn’t still forget the scenes I saw on the beach.
Damn it! Unable to fall asleep, I came to the study room and read.
I grabbed a book, but as I opened it, an old photo fell out. It was the photo that caused me to divorce Catherine before.
I looked at the woman in the photo carefully and tried to deny that she was no longer the same woman as before. But, no matter how I persuade myself, the fear that she was still that same woman was devouring
