Chapter 96
Catherine's POV
I was so disappointed with James, and I couldn't describe the sadness.
My heart was filled with grievances.
I knew I cared about him. If I didn't, I wouldn't be sad at all.
If he were a stranger, I wouldn't care about which woman he was with, whom he hooked up with, and whom he slept with.
Obviously, I cared about James. I cared about him. So I doubted whom he was with.
This was what hurt me.
I didn't like myself like this at all.
I looked at the time. Having nothing to do in the afternoon, I called Monica. "Are you free for afternoon tea?"
"I was just about to call you to ask the same thing. Do you have any ideas about where to go?"
"Where are you?"
"I just happened to pass by your company. Why don't we go to the one diagonally opposite?"
"Okay, I'll go over now."
"Okay, I'll park the car."
