He saw her, too, though his cool, aloof expression didn't shift an inch, as if he had never laid eyes on her before. She had to admit he was the coldest man she had ever met, bar none.
Leslie politely escorted his guest out, then turned to Louisa with a smile. "I thought you'd sleep until morning."
"Why didn't you wake me?" Even though she'd slept soundly, staying asleep that long felt a little improper.
She used to nap here as well, but never for more than an hour or two.
"What did you come here for?" His simple question left her at a loss.
