Chapter 10
Arthur's gaze turned ferocious, and he swung his fist toward Peter.
Seeing that they were about to exchange blows, I quickly pulled open the fitting room curtains. I dashed toward Peter and stood protectively before him. I said coldly, "Arthur, please leave immediately."
Arthur stared at me, his gaze filled with disbelief. "Susan, are you actually protecting him?"
Blood kept trickling out from the wound on his forehead. Even his shirt was stained with blood and dust. He looked nothing like his usual elegant self.
I looked away, unwilling to look at Arthur any longer. He suddenly shot me an awkward smile before turning to stagger away.
At that moment, Peter suddenly covered my eyes and whispered, "Honey, you're not allowed to look at him."
I was taken aback. Then, I sighed helplessly.
