Lilith wasn't just irritable these days—she was paranoid too. Kept going on about people trying to hurt her.
When Emmanuel showed up at the hospital that day, she practically lunged at him, clinging to him like he was her lifeline. Her once flirty, seductive eyes were now wide with fear as she darted nervous glances all around. Her voice dropped to a whisper, trembling and urgent.
"Emmanuel... please, get me out of here. Elena's ghost is in this hospital. She's here to take me. Look, she's right there—smirking at me in the shadows!"
"I... I'm scared..." she whimpered, burying her head in his chest like a frightened child.
But Emmanuel pulled her off him with a disgusted frown, motioning coldly to the staff nearby.
"Keep a close eye on her," he said sharply. "Don't let her wander off again."
Out of nowhere, Lilith broke free from the two nurses holding her. She dropped to her knees in front of Emmanuel with a loud thud, clutching his leg, shaking all over.
