Taking her sister's hand, Eve sat down on the sofa and thoughtfully brewed a cup of red tea for her. She remembered how Lucia always added milk to her own tea for an extra creamy taste, so she did the same and handed the warm cup to her sister. "Nia, have some tea first. Your hands are cold," Eve said. Nia couldn't help but mock herself inwardly for only being able to think of coming to Eve in times of despair. But the warm red tea did make her feel better and she tasted a hint of milk in it. She turned to Eve and asked, "Did you also think about adding milk to your red tea?" Eve's eyes flickered unnaturally as she replied with an awkward "Mm-hmm." "It tastes good," Nia didn't notice Eve's hesitation and spoke casually. "What's wrong?" Eve didn't want to dwell on thoughts about Lucia, so she asked Nia instead.
