Arnaud muttered, "So… all it took to win me over was being relentless, huh?"

The car soon pulled up at the entrance of Sylvia's apartment complex.
Arnaud lowered the window, scanned the surroundings, and his brow furrowed again.
Could anyone actually live in a place like this?
He was confused. The pay for being his secretary wasn't sky-high, but it was still one of the best in the industry. Not to mention, Sylvia lived alone and never seemed to splurge on clothes or bags. So, why was she stuck in such an old, run-down neighborhood?
Ever since Portsham's economy had started booming, surely finding a place like this had to have been a challenge?
"Mmm… huh? Am I home already?" Sylvia blinked herself awake, rubbing her sleepy eyes. A second later, she jolted upright in shock. "Mr. Kaplan, I—I fell asleep. I swear I didn't mean to lean on you!"
Arnaud glanced at her and said, "I was the one who let you lean on me."
