Arnaud rarely came back to the old Kaplan estate. After all, work kept him too busy. Even when he returned to his own place, he'd lock himself in the study and work until past midnight. Staying outside was simply too inconvenient for him. The moment Arnaud stepped into the foyer, his sharp eyes immediately noticed that the painting on the wall was gone. Not to mention, the antique pieces in the cabinets were missing too. Liam noticed his gaze, cleared his throat, and explained, "My friends gave me some new pieces lately. I had to put them up in case they got offended." Arnaud hadn't planned on asking anyway. The Kaplan residence belonged to Liam now, so he could do as he pleased with the place. Still, it was getting harder and harder to recognize this place as the home their parents had once filled. Once they were seated, Liam put on a fatherly act and struck up a conversation with Arnaud about his love life. "Arnaud, that woman we saw last time, was that your girlfriend?"
