Chapter 50
Angelica began clearing out her belongings. Most of the clothes in her wardrobe had been given to her by Rosie—they were bright in color but hopelessly outdated in style.
She left the rest untouched, taking only the two undershirts she had purchased herself along with a few thick coats. Her suitcase was packed to the brim.
Lurking by the door, the maids reported every one of Angelica's movements back to Rosie.
"Ms. Morris, should we stop her?"
"It's fine."
Rosie was on her way to the hospital. A box that had been violently pried open rested in her lap. Inside lay a divorce agreement.
Her face burned with fury. She hadn't expected Angelica to take such a daring step.
She had been feeling uneasy ever since she noticed the drastic change in Angelica's behavior.
While picking up Elliot's laundry earlier today, her eyes had fallen on a box carelessly thrown in a corner of the room.
If Elliot hadn't salvaged it from the trash during spring cleaning, she wouldn't have remembered it
